Road To continue our 2012 focus on the Ethics of Energy, we will host our third webinar on June 5th at 3:00pm EDT. This webinar will focus on the role of transportation in our lives, and a future with clean vehicles.

We are partnering up with our colleagues at the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS), a science-based non-profit focused on creating a healthier environment and a safer world. The webinar will focus on:

A recent report from UCS, “State of Charge,” on the climate change impacts and fuel costs of driving cars powered by electricity instead of gasoline. This report answers the common question: how much will electric vehicles really reduce emissions if they’re often plugged into electrical outlets that draw their power from (potentially) dirty sources?

We will also discuss how electric vehicles fit into UCS’ plan to cut the United States’ projected oil use in half over the next 20 years, and why this plan is so critical for protecting Creation and our health.
